Bio

I’m Michelle Behshid, a product and vehicle designer who grew up working in my father’s mechanic shop. There, I learned to solve problems by taking things apart, asking questions, and rebuilding purposefully. This hands-on experience influences my current design approach: curious, human-centered, and thoughtfully crafted.

I am pursuing a Master's in Engineering Design Innovation at Northwestern University, building on my background in Visual Arts and Mathematics from Bowdoin College. I use sketching, prototyping, engineering insights, and storytelling to create vehicle and product solutions that enhance everyday life. My experience includes product design, rapid iteration, user research, and visual design, including work with Razorfish/Publicis Groupe supporting national brands.

I design with empathy and keen attention to detail, creating meaningful products and vehicles that bring the same clarity, care, and human understanding I grew up seeing in my father’s mechanic shop.

THINGS I LOVE

including traveling, flowers, photography, the beach, golf, rowing, running, and ice hockey.
